Bonjour mes amies! If you’ve been following my Instagram lately, you may have seen some of the pictures that I posted of my recent trip to Europe. Over spring break, my family spent a few days in Paris and Barcelona, and as you can guess from the title of this post, it all felt like a dream. In this post, I’ll be sharing a few of the pictures from each day of the trip. Look out for a Barcelona post soon! I took a lot of pictures, so if you are interested in seeing all of them, I’ll leave a link to the Flickr album that I created for each day. I’m so excited for you to see them!
DAY ONE (actually more like afternoon One):
We arrived in Paris in the afternoon. Right when we got to our hotel, we freshened up and made our way to the Montparnasse tower, which was walking distance from our hotel. Here we got a beautiful sunset view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. It was so breathtaking seeing all of the architecture and streets below. If you are visiting Paris, definitely try and find a place to take a birds-eye view of the city and of the Eiffel Tower.

DAY TWO:
Our second day in Paris was a lot of walking and sight seeing. We took the metro (their subway system) to different areas such as the Eiffel Tower and L’Île de la Cité (area where the Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum, and the Seine River is). Paris in the spring is absolutely beautiful; the weather is sunny but not too hot, and flowers are blooming everywhere. We also window shopped at the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, a brand name mall in Paris. The architecture of this mall is amazing and so are the prices of their items, haha! Here you can shop at Louis Vuitton, Coco Chanel, and other designer boutiques. Another place that we got to visit was the Champs-Élysées, a long avenue with different shops and restaurants and also where the Arc de Triomphe is located. Throughout the day, I had a backpack with me where I carried another pair of shoes because I was scared my feet would start hurting from all the walking. They started to hurt alright! If you ever go to Europe, make sure you have comfortable walking shoes that will last you the whole day.

DAY THREE:
On our last day in Paris, we went to the Luxembourg Garden, which was created by Queen Marie de Medici in 1612. In the pictures you’ll see the Luxembourg Palace. It is mind blowing to think that many of the buildings and places that we visited were created and walked on by royals and important figures decades ago. Walking distance from the Luxembourg Garden is the Latin Quarter of Paris, which is known for its Bohemian atmosphere. In the Latin Quarter, we visited the Panthéon and saw the Sorbonne. The Panthéon was originally created as a church, but now it functions as a crypt. The remains of many famous French figures such as Marie Curie and Voltaire are contained here. We got to visit their tombs, which was a unique experience. The Panthéon is not to be confused with the Invalides, which is actually where Napoleon Bonaparte is buried. While exploring more of the Latin Quarter, we stopped by the Sorbonne, which was formerly the University of Paris. Just a few more blocks took us back to the Notre Dame and l’Île de la Cité area.

It was bittersweet leaving Paris, and I am so grateful to even have had the opportunity to visit. When you’re in Paris, you feel like you are in the middle of a movie. It’s easy to forget about reality here because there are so many beautiful things to see and do. You get lost in the dreamy atmosphere, food, and language, and soon you find yourself wanting to stay longer. I hope that you enjoyed these photos! Merci beaucoup for reading!
